Lake Toba Pictures – Lake Toba is a super volcanic lake. The lake has size of 100 kilometers ,30 kilometers wide, and up to 505 meters (1,666 ft) deep. According to Wikipedia Lake Toba is the is the site of super volcanic eruption that happened 77 years ago. In fact it is recorded as the largest explosion eruption in the earth for the last 25 million years.
Located in northern part of Sumatera Island. It was consist with Samosir Island in the middle. Samosir Island itself is the biggest Island inside the Island in the world. In addition, Lake Toba is the largest lake in Indonesia and also the Largest Volcanic Lake in the world.
Most peoples living around Lake Toba are Batak peoples. Batak is one of the Branch of Malay race, the thing makes them different from Malay race is the fact that most of them embrace Christianity, otherwise majority Malay race adhere Islam as their religion.
Lake Toba can be access trough land transportation, if you are in Jakarta you should take the flight to Medan first before taking Land transportation headed to Lake Toba.
